Flex Declares Collaboration with MIT to Advance the Way forward for Manufacturing with AI and Automation

Flex as we speak introduced a strategic collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Expertise (MIT) on its new Initiative for New Manufacturing (INM) — a daring, Institute-wide effort to reimagine industrial manufacturing, drive innovation by superior applied sciences, and strengthen U.S. manufacturing competitiveness.

As a founding member of the INM Business Consortium, Flex will work intently with MIT researchers, educators, and fellow business leaders to assist cutting-edge tasks that apply AI, machine automation, and new system-level approaches to manufacturing.

“Flex is proud to collaborate with MIT on this vital initiative to form the way forward for manufacturing,” mentioned Cameron Carr, chief technique officer of Flex. “Collectively, we intention to innovate and advance manufacturing by specializing in areas that enhance resilience, productiveness, and sustainability — whereas serving to to construct a stronger industrial base within the U.S. and past.”

The MIT Initiative for New Manufacturing focuses on 4 core pillars:
